All the Lights Are On
(Matthew 5:14-16)
All the lights are on,
As I sit in that small boat,
And look along the hillside,
At nighttime as I float.
There are so many,
Reflected in water alight.
They are so beautiful,
As I consider them tonight.
Each one is so important.
I see the good deeds each does.
Each one so luminous.
I praise our Father above.
But taken all together,
They show me what it’s like,
To take away the darkness,
And only see the light.
All the lights are on,
As I sit in that small boat,
And look along the hillside,
At nighttime as I float.
