Climbin’
Up the
Mountain of Faith,
Oh, glory to God!
Through His wonderful Holy Power.
Not through anything I could do.
Just always prayin’ to God every day,
And readin’, studying’, and notin’ His Word, too.
Trusting Jesus Christ that everything will be all right.
Resting in His Holy Spirit to lead to glorious Victory!

When we Climb Up the Mountain of Faith it doesn’t depend on circumstances, but our constant trust of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We must always keep our eyes on Him, looking to Him constantly on our journey, no matter what the situation.

I Believe . . . In Me!

I Believe . . . In Me!

I believe . . . in me.
Like we always see
On movies and TV.
The answer is always me.

The reply is always within
Depending on myself, actually.
That’s the world’s way.
Don’t you agree?

I feel so free.
Trusting in yours truly,
That’s me.

Sure, I don’t believe in God
But you see
My god is me.

But then I discovered,
I couldn’t do this very long.
What happens when I’m weak
And can’t carry on?

I turn to Jesus Christ now,
Who is very strong.
Liberating me from myself, see?
Now God has set me free.

Many purveyors of believing in yourself make things sound good with their pithy phrases.  A lot of this is based on the Bible anyway, but through human perspective. Faith in ourselves will always lead us nowhere.  We need to, “Let go and let God.” Even if God is your co-pilot, it’s time to trade seats, but please let Him land the plane first.   🙂
