On the Edge: Are All the Doors Closing?

Doors Choice Meaning Decision Doorway And Path

On the Edge:
Are All the Doors Closing?

When we don’t know which way to go,
We are confused about God’s direction.
We pray for God’s guidance,
But can’t make a selection.

When each day is dark and drear,
We are mixed up in our minds.
We don’t know which way to turn
Or which one is the best line.

We think we want something
And then it disappears.
The doors close.
We might even shed some tears.

And when the doors close – one by one
We don’t know what to do.
Until the only one left –
It comes directly for you.

Like seeing blurry at first,
The way is finally sharp and clear,
Things coming into view,
Your direction is very near.

We learn that to know the path,
Sometimes doors must first close.
It’s not an easy trip,
But sometimes it’s how God shows.

Have you seen this in your life,
As you journey on life’s road?
Closed doors, many times help us find
The right direction unfold.

We sometimes think of an open door, but sometimes a lot of doors must be closed before an open one is apparent.  That is how God works in some situations.  It is not an easy experience, but afterwards we can see that what has been going on is in our best interest.

Thank You!

Your power works Your purpose
As we go along each day.
It’s time to say a thank you
To you, Lord, when we pray.

We trusted you before
To provide for now,
And you came through as always
So now we humbly bow.

You answered and You helped us
Just as in the days of old,
As in those Bible stories
Since childhood we were told.

We stand and hold our head up
And raise holy hands up high,
Or we kneel beside the bed,
Or on the floor we lie.

We thank you, Lord, for answering
Our pray this very day,
For taking all our worry
And fret right away.

Your power works Your purpose
As we go along each day.
It’s time to say a thank you
To you Lord, when we pray.

When we pray and God answers, we are so excited that we tell others, but we must not forget to thank Him.

Speaking of “thanks,” I wanted to thank the growing number of those who follow my website, and also those who drop by from time to time.  May God richly bless all of you!
