Fall Down and Spring Up – USA!

Every Fall and Spring,
Time to reset our clocks –
One hour down or one hour up.
Arizona and Hawaii think it’s a crock.

It’s at 2:00 am in the morning,
If you want to stay up,
But you can set the night before
So as not to disrupt.

If you have an electronic device,
It should change on it’s own,
Unless it doesn’t detect
The current time and zone.

A tiny memory trick
That will help you see what to do –
“Fall Down” and “Spring Up.”
This is certainly handy for you.

A little more light in the evening,
Or is it the other way around?
Harder to get up without the sun,
But with daybreak out of bed I’ll bound.

Is it 6:00 pm or really 7:00,
Or maybe 5:00,
Who knows?
But we can devise.

So just get used to it.
You absolutely must
Because going to Daylight Saving
Or Standard Time is simply a re-adjust.

Even after all those announcements on the media and at church, reminding each other and reminding each other again to reset our clocks is an American tradition.  Then we go around and set either forward or back making sure that we are not late or early (that’s OK) to work or church the next day!

When We’re Falling Apart

When We’re Falling Apart

Psalm 147:3

When we’re falling apart,
He puts us back together.
When we can’t do one more thing,
He makes it so much better.

The dad stares at his paycheck.
He’s glad, but yet it’s not enough
To help him take care of his family.
He feels like giving up.

The mom is told her illness
Will be a long, long time.
How will she look after her kids?
How can she to wellness climb?

The child just can’t do well in school.
It is really hard
To learn to read and answer that math.
Others bully them on the schoolyard.

And what’s your story
My good ole friend?
Do you need some help today?
Do you need your life to mend?

When we’re falling apart,
He puts us back together.
When we can’t do one more thing,
He makes it so much it better.

With Him

With Him
Matthew 11:28-30

The days were long and endless
As I traveled down the Road.
I could barely stand it
Underneath my heavy load.

Then I looked up at the Savior
With His hands opened wide.
He said, “Come to Me you helpless one.
I will take you by My side.”

I saw the Love of Jesus,
And His great Power,
And the blessed Wonder
Of each passing hour.

I know Jesus came to save me
From all my sins and strife,
And now He helps me carry
My load all through my life.

Those nail-pierced hands of Jesus Christ are opened wide for you to receive His Love and Power producing Wonder of Him in your life.  He helps you carry your load.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  (Holy Bible – Matthew 11:28-30 – NIV)
