It’s Worth the Long Hard Journey After All!

It’s Worth the Long Hard Journey After All!

Chorus:
It’s worth the long hard journey after all!
With trials and temptations – we might fall,
But in Heaven we shall meet.
We will sit at Jesus feet.
It’s worth the long hard journey after all!

Verse 1:
I was walking down the road of desperation.
The path not leading to any destination.
Always in my soul
I tried to have control.
All alone, I was feeling very low.

(Chorus)

Verse 2:
I passed the Mirror showing me my sins
Against God, Who yearned to take me in.
I felt guilty through and through.
I didn’t know exactly what to do
With my life — I needed another view.

(Chorus)

Verse 3:
Someone showed me how to be saved.
A strong and gentle Rescuer came to my aid.
When I trusted Him,
My past became so very dim.
With Him, I knew my new view would win.

(Chorus)

Verse 4:
The journey isn’t easy, but He’s there
To take my broken heart and repair.
I keep on keeping on.
Now all my fears are gone.
In my life, there’s a bright and glorious song.

(Chorus)

Reprise:
But in Heaven we shall meet.
We will sit at Jesus feet.
“I wouldn’t take nothing for my journey now.”
It’s worth the long hard journey after all!

When we have those long hard journey days, we may not understand everything that’s happening, but we can trust our Lord Jesus Christ for strength to keep on keeping on!

God’s Son can not be eclipsed by any darkness.  We not only follow Him (“Your word is . . . a light on my path.”), but He also walks right beside us (“Your word is a lamp for my feet.”)   [Quotes from the Holy Bible – Psalm 119:105 – NIV]
