Where is the Rain?

I Kings 18:41- 19:8
Ezekiel 34:26

Where Is the Rain?

Seems for ages, we ask -
Where is the rain?
The drought is upon us,
Dry heat and parched pain.

When will rain come?
A long while, we've not seen any.
We look for blessings,
Spiritual heights, not many.

But we hold faith that God
Will soon quench our thirst,
Receiving Living Water
Through God's Word, burst.

Then we glance toward Heaven,
Seeing some mist in the sky.
Lifting up our heads.
Our blessings draw nigh.

The rain sprinkling at first.
Then vigorously heavy still.
The blessings just keep coming.
They are really real.

Where is the rain
As we wait, watch, and pray?
In His time, the blessings come again.
The blessings come to stay.

Sometimes we wait for blessings to flow from God and it just doesn’t happen on our timetable.  We must watch and pray and trust Him for these sustained blessings.
