Charles B. Mayes, M.A., is a freelance writer living in San Jose, CA. He coaches English Language Learners (ESL) and has volunteered with community groups including having been a Director of Media Relations.
He’s a frequent contributor to The Monitor and written for the Christian Standard, Northridger, CCC Caller, radio, TV, websites, and a book, A New Year Resolution and Other Poems (including The Missionaries) with foreword by Dr. P.T. Mammen. Mammen says, ”creative energy evidenced through every line.”
Mayes grew up in Muskogee, OK and was graduated from Ozark Christian College, Joplin, MO; California State University, Northridge; and Bethany University, Scotts Valley, CA, where he was also employed.
