Can Someone Claim You as a Dependent?

Can Someone Claim You as a Dependent?

Luke 10:40 – 42

Can Someone claim you as a dependent,
As you go along life’s way,
Not for Income Tax purposes,
Nor part of a year, but for every day?

Do others see your dependence
On our God of love
For everything needed –
Your very life given from above?

What about food and clothes
And even transportation,
Family and job,
Not to mention salvation?

Think that you provide it all
Just because you bought it,
From housing to entertainment?
Look at your life and audit.

Knowing from where all things come,
Do you trust as a dependent
In our Lord Jesus Christ
Who is transcendent?

Can Someone claim you as a dependent,
As you go along life’s way,
Not for Income Tax purposes,
But for eternal treasures laid away?

I prayerfully hope that God can claim you as a dependent.  We can only get through life by depending on Him.  How can anyone live without Him?  “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.  We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”  [Holy Bible – John 6:68b – 69]

I appreciate all those who continually follow my website, and those who drop by from time to time.  May God richly bless each of you!

We’ll Talk Another Time

Because He Lives

We’ll Talk Another Time
 (Dedicated to My Aunt)

I phone my dear Aunt
To catch up on old times.
She radiates Jesus,
Her mind sharp and kind.

It’s time to say, “Goodbye” now.
She said, “We’ll talk another time.”
As we click off the phone,
I knew she had Heaven on her mind.

Now when Jesus softly calls her
To come on home to Him,
We’ll talk another time in Heaven,
When He says, “Come on in!”

When we see each other again
Inside the pearly gates,
I will meet you over there,
You and I – we can not wait.

We’ll have eternal life before us.
We will visit for all hours.
We’ll talk another time in Heaven.
We’ll be His and He’ll be ours.

When we lose someone very dear to us, it is so hard.  But, when a Christian dies, we have the assurance that they will be in Heaven enjoying life forevermore.

Where It’s Christmas All The Time

angel

Where It’s Christmas All The Time

Where it’s Christmas all the time
Because there’s joy for you and me –
It isn’t on the earth
But in Heaven, you will see.

The Gift that God has given
Will be realized by us then.
For Christmas in Heaven
Is not just Christmas now and again.

There’ll be our Present, Jesus,
The blessed God of love,
Wrapped by the Holy Spirit
Tying ribbons as a dove.

Where it’s Christmas all the time
There won’t be any snow,
But there are wondrous streets of gold.
That’s where I want to go.

Where it’s Christmas all the time
Because there’s joy for you and me –
It isn’t on the earth
But in Heaven, you will see.
