Your Word

Psalm 119:105

Psalm 119:160
Proverbs 16:9
Proverbs 20:24
Habakkuk 3:17-19

“Your Word is a Lamp
For my feet.”
Keeping me with Your same beat.

“Your Word is a Light
On my path.”
As my future I grasp.

“For my feet
Your Word is a Lamp.”
Your Spirit in me encamp.

“On my path
Your Word is a Light.”
Taking me to new heights.

God’s Word helps us now and later.  Right “in the now,” and as we look into the future that God has in store for us.

A Good Talk

John 15: 13 – 15

Nighttime with head on pillow,
Gettin’ some beautiful healin’,
Talkin’ to Jesus ’bout
How I’m really feelin’.

Just an honest chat
(No formula for prayer)
With my Savior,
As I’m lying there.

Praying to Him.
A real heart to heart.
He listens as a Friend.
His grace imparts.

And then to sleep, I

Plan It

Plan It

We plan it and we do it.
We think it works that way,
But sometimes
Our best planned plans just go astray.

Occasionally we see things coming,
But many times not.
There are so many life surprises.
They may leave us distraught.

But one thing’s always certain –
The Lord’s with us now and all the time.
He cares and keeps special watch on us
Just to make sure that we are fine.

So as we continue through our lives,
We must trust the Lord’s will
To gently guide us,
As we listen to His small voice still.
