I Receive It
He does the job
Of fixing the plumbing.
A gospel song
He is humming.
When he is through working,
We settle up with him.
He receives the money,
A fair sum, not based on whim.
But, he tells us he’s been gravely ill,
At death’s door has stood.
He asks for prayer to
Regain health completely – good.
After prayer is offered in Jesus’ name,
I still remember his words as he sits,
With belief of answered prayer,
Raising hands, he says, “I receive it.”
When people pray for us
Do we restfully receive?
God may give more than a “fair sum” –
Abundance, when we believe.
